Pam Tylka is the North Market’s “Popcorn Queen.” Pam’s popping daily and her quadrant of the market is filled with the familiar, delicious fragrance of popcorn. But this is not just any popcorn. Pam’s daily menu includes cheddar, caramel, sweet & salty and classic butter plus whatever seasonal flavor is striking her fancy. It’s the holidays right now so you’ll find delightful flavors like Candy Cane, Peppermint Chocolate, Eggnog and Cranberry Crunch. Fun stocking stuffers of colorful popcorn balls and “naughty coal” are sure to amuse.

Amy Lozier hand crafts a dozen types of European style bread plus flaky croissants, sweet and savory scones and delectable desserts all from scratch at Omega Artisan Baking. It’s all made by hand and fresh from the oven daily.

If you’ve been here (and we hope you have and return frequently), then you know that a visit to the North Market is quite the sensory experience. What with the colorful and captivating sights, the sound of the market bustle, the wonderful aromas as you travel around the building and the unparalleled tastes of our merchants’ offerings, this place is something special to behold. And we did our best to capture a fraction of that goodness in our newest video vignette. We’re still waiting for “smell-o-vision” technology to become affordable, but we think you’ll get the picture!
